A Trip to Hershey's

A Trip to Hershey's

Hershey’s Chocolate World is a well-known destination for tourists especially those with a sweet tooth for chocolate. It is located in Maryland, USA and is entirely dedicated to Milton Hershey and his contribution to the candy industry. Officially opened in June of 1973, this visitor center contains numerous attractions from a theme park to a trolley tour dedicated to both the history of the place and the life story of Milton Hershey.

From my personal experience in Hershey’s Chocolate World, I can say that this visitor center is a very enjoyable place to visit. As I approached the entrance, I heard fellow laughing tourists admiring the place and I saw a brightly colored welcome sign nearly as big as a car. Around the entire area, I always smelled the sweet as sugar aroma of the candies. I then participated in different activities such as the tour where free samples of Hershey’s chocolate were given. After tiring myself out with all the activities, I proceeded to the food court where a wide selection of sweet, sour and salty food was available. I could not help but notice the friendly staff members who were always answering questions enthusiastically and even socialized with tourists from time to time. Before the day ended, I made sure to drop by the souvenir shop. Plentiful clothing items, plush toys and novelties can be found here, most of which are colored orange, purple, brown or white due to the fact that they are all based around Hershey’s products. Souvenirs in hand, I left Hershey’s Chocolate World while appreciating the lush green landscape located all around the area, which provided a satisfying wrap-up of the amazing trip I had.
